Vueling and Sony will launch of the first wearable shipment in the world to “stand as leaders in the development of mobile technology,” as commented on blog on the airline itself. With this new system allows passengers to have their boarding pass on their smart watch SmartWatch 2 with a 2D barcode. This new application is available from the end of March in the Play Store of Google.
Vueling is not the only one. Air Berlin and Pebble Smart watches allied to facilitate the boarding process of their passengers to their flights, says Applesfera website. By applying for IOS Air Berlin, travelers can download their boarding pass which will sync the iPhone with the watch since the same application directly issues the QR code. So simple, just by showing the watch to the scanner and the passenger will be ready to access the plane without having to show the Smartphone or printed boarding pass.
Through this new system, companies make available to their passengers, on top the ability to have your boarding pass on the clock, the opportunity to have information on the departure time of the flight, the gate and the seat assigned. This new system positions them as innovators in the field of technology.
